Ever wonder how politicians get people to vote against their own best interests? Ever question why great information isn’t enough to change people’s minds? How can we set the record straight when we think the facts are being hidden or even distorted? What if your point of view isn’t even part of the political discourse?
Many of us stopped thinking critically when we left school. But a democracy requires informed citizens who critically examine the information they receive. I like to talk about the stories that act upon us – not what stories do I have but what stories have me? This workshop explores how to uncover today’s unexamined stories and ways to use the power of story to influence political discussion and social change.
